With the zipline, you can fly from the Stoderzinken at 1.600 m above sea level, across to Gröbming Adventure Park on the mountain opposite at 900 m.

By arrangement, you have the opportunity to participate in a wine tasting with your host and sommelier Christian Langanger. During this tasting of everything from sparkling wines to dessert wines, you will pick up all kinds of information about wine and wine products. Every Thursday during the summer, whenever the weather is nice, we host a grill night out on our terrace. Aside from a variety of delicious treats from our wood-fired grill and a salad buffet, you will also be able to enjoy those balmy summer nights over a good glass of wine.

Directly at our hotel is our asphalt rink.

We will be happy to organize a small tournament for you. This offer is very gladly accepted, because it is really fun and funny.

Our heated outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing lawn is open from March to October (water temperature about 27 ° C). Refresh your body and mind while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains.

From right outside our hotel's front door, you can also set out to explore Mitterberg's clearly marked running and Nordic-walking trails. You have different distances and difficulties to choose from, ranging from 2.5 km - 12 km.

In total, the Mitterberg greets you with around 50 kilometers of hiking, running and Nordic-walking trails for the enjoyment of all hiking and sports fans.
And in the process, take in the magnificent countryside of Mitterberg!

The starting point for this tour is our own Hotel Häuserl im Wald.

A short tour, an ideal way to unwind and escape for a while. The route leads you along forest, meadow, gravel and paved paths, through our magical countryside.

Straight from our hotel into the midst  of nature.

The Village Tour also runs right past Hotel Häuserl im Wald.
This laid-back route takes you to Gersdorf, then continues in the direction of Zirting and along a forest path. During this tour, you can really appreciate the beauty of the Mitterberg high plateau.

And afterwards, reward yourself with a refreshment break out on our beautiful sun terrace.

An idyllic, but physically more demanding tour! A great way to experience all of the beautiful scenery in Mitterberg.

The start of this tour is nearby Mitterberg village hall.
And then, simply follow the permanent signs which were set up by the IVV (International Federation of Popular Sports).

From right here at the hotel, beautiful and, for the most part, flat footpaths lead you through the neighboring forests and meadows of the Mitterberg high plateau. Breathe in the clear and pure mountain air of Mitterberg, all the while taking in the magical view of our mountains! In just a few minutes' drive, you will be able to reach many trail heads for other nature experiences and memorable hiking tours.

For a sporty change of pace, our guests are invited to enjoy a set or two of volleyball on our grass court here at the hotel.

Two table-tennis tables are also available for you to use at any time!
Volleyballs, table-tennis and badminton equipment, as well as other recreational gear, are all available from our reception desk and at no charge.

If you love to go bike riding, you will definitely appreciate the 14.6 km bike route on the Mitterberg.

The Schladming-Dachstein region offers mountain bikers 20 new MTB tours. 500 km of clearly marked routes and all levels of difficulty guarantee the ultimate in two-wheeling enjoyment!

Hotel Häuserl im Wald lies right on the Viehberg Tour, the region's bike classic!
For laid-back cyclists, we would suggest the bike paths on Mitterberg plateau itself as well as the Enns Bike Tour (R 7).

The new hit: E-biking

In the Schladming-Dachstein region is a 200 km-long network of e-bike tours, with plenty of battery- recharging and -changing stations along the way. E-bikes can be rented from Sport Mandl in Gröbming.

And of course, we have all kinds of tips in store for interesting routes and destinations.

Sportunion Niederöblarn offers all tennis fans the opportunity to pursue their sport year-round. In addition to 2 outdoor courts, they also have 2 indoor ones for you to enjoy.
The outdoor courts are available for you to use from Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm.

The indoor courts are open Monday through Friday from 9 am until 10 pm.
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9 am to 8 pm.

Niederöblarn is the site of an airfield for gliders.
So, if you are in the mood to fly in a glider or a motorized plane over Ennstal valley, we would highly recommend heading to Niederöblarn.
There are all kinds of options available to you, including the Grimming flight (ca. 20 min), the Dachstein flight (ca. 30 min) and even the Grossglockner tour.

There is also an opportunity for you to use the bowling lanes at Hotel Reisslerhof, located just 400 meters from us. We would be happy to reserve a lane on your behalf. Price per lane/hour is € 6.00.

Dance clubs and bars can be found in Gröbming, Haus im Ennstal, Tunzendorf as well as the town of Schladming itself (max. 20-minute drive).
