forecast before setting out! We strongly recommend taking a guided ski tour with a state-certified mountian & ski guide. Please respect quiet zones and protected areas.
Skitour on the Stoderzinken
A worthwhile trip through the wild-romantic "Öfen"-canyon to the summit of Stoderzinken, where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama view from the Dachstein over the Niedere Tauern to the Totes Gebirge.
Dachstein traverse to Obertraun
One of the most beautiful ski tours in all of Austria! Begins at the mountain lift terminal on Dachstein glacier - return transfer from Obertraun available by arrangement.
Ascent to the Michaelerberghaus
Drive from the hotel to Gröbming railway station. Park right there at Gröbming station in Moosheim. Directly across the way is a hillside and groomed piste, leading you up a 550 m gain to the Michaelerberghaus. Floodlit on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 5:30 until 10 pm.
Ascent to the Galsterbergalm
The beginning of the ski-touring climb up the Galsterberg to the Bottinghaus or Galsterbergalm is located at the lift valley station in Pruggern - reachable by car via the B 320.
