Well-known as a popular ski area in winter, the Dachstein Tauern Region transforms into a Premium Walking area in Styria the rest of the year.
Awaiting you:
Natural landscapes, lush green alpine valleys, the majestic limestone walls of the glacial Dachstein and numerous peaks with a total of 300 mountain lakes of the Schladminger Tauern.
In just a few minutes by car you reach the starting points to the natural experiences of our region e.g. the Sölk Valleys Nature Park, with its unspoiled alpine pasture, or the Klafferkessel with its well-known mountain lakes. Also a must for walkers is Gröbming's local mountain Stoderzinken, the Dachstein Südwand or the numerous lakes such as the Styrian Bodensee, Schwarzensee or the Grundlsee in Ausseerland.
