1937Karl Schupfer bought the Gasthaus "Häuserl im Wald", also known as Brenner in 1937, and ran it together with his wife Hilda.
The guest house with the accompanying agricultural land soon became a popular destination for day trippers, well-known outside of the Enns Valley. |
 | Over the years building work started and the dining room, kitchen, guests room and stables were constructed. Das "Häuserl im Wald" became an insiders' tip for holiday-makers wishing to enjoy a "refreshing summer" on the Mitterberg.
The particularly beautiful and quiet location at an altitude of 800 m above sea-level, surrounded by a fabulous panoramic mountain view of the Schladminger Tauern and Niedere Tauern, was also an ideal base for a number of hikes into nearby valleys. |
 | | 1973:Karl and Hilda Schupfer added a large extension to the country guest house making it into a "country hotel" for the first time.
With the construction of a modern kitchen, 20 double rooms, guest lounges and a large dining room the ideal prerequisites were created for events such as weddings and company parties. |
1990The next hotel extension was planned by the next generation, daughter Hilde and her husband Johann Langanger. This time particular emphasis was placed on the improvement of the leisure facilities, as well as renovating the rooms to a 4 star standard. Our country hotel should meet the steadily increasing demands of discerning guests. Leisure facilities, such as a sauna suite with steam room, jacuzzi baths, solarium, outdoor swimming pool etc. were constructed, thus much improving the "relaxation and health spa" facilities.
 | | Much planning was also needed for the modern seminar rooms equipped with all the latest technology, which after their completion were to make the hotel an attractive conference venue for firms from home and abroad, and to offer guests ideal facilities for their "further education and training courses". |
In the following years constant quality improvements were made for the well-being of the guests. For example a functional massage room, an infra-red cabin a new ski room and a internet surf station (WLAN) were built and all rooms renovated to a 4 star standard. The terrace was also redesigned and there were improvements in the outdoor leisure facilities ...
